How to scan your image

Some people find scanning an image a bit daunting. So we have created this handy little guide to make life a little bit easier for you. So that you are free to upload you own image and receive you personalised canvas print in the quickest method.

Every scanner works differently, so instructions will be generic, so that it covers the basics.

1. Make sure that the scanner is free from dust and hairs. Simple wiping it over with a duster which will not leave any fibres.
2. Make sure that the photo is free from any dust and hairs. Once again simple wipe over with a duster which will not leave any fibres.
3. Turn the scanner on
4. Run the scanners scanning software
5. Place the photo into the scanner.
6. Set the resolution to 300. (this could also be marked DPI).
7. Select preview scan in your scanner software. (Your scanner should then start to scan the image, do not lift the lid of the scanner whilst this is occurring).
8. You should now be shown a preview of the scanned image on the screen.
9. If there are some grid lines, move them so that it selects you image
10. Now select scan.
11. This will scan the image (Your scanner should then start to scan the image, do not lift the lid of the scanner whilst this is occurring).
12. Once the image has been scanned you need to save the scanned image as a jpeg.
13. This jpeg can then be uploaded on our website.
